Chovy’s 25th Year is Not Yet Complete
Recently, Chovy and Gen.G claimed the LCK Cup 2026 title, adding another accolade to the already illustrious career of the mid laner born in 2000. Even Riot had to compile a record of the titles Chovy has achieved throughout his career so far. It can be said that Chovy’s 25th year is enviable, with nearly all the titles under his belt. The only thing that remains unfulfilled is the Worlds title.

Currently, it can be said that Chovy and Gen.G have absolutely dominated the LCK. Of course, in terms of championship titles, he still cannot compare to Faker. However, given the current situation, the likelihood that the LCK will continue to dominate the Regular Seasons is very high. It should be noted that throughout their reign in the LCK, the former SKT T1 or the current T1 has never won this tournament four times in a row like Gen.G with Chovy.

However, the Worlds title still remains a distant story for Chovy. The 2025 season can be said to be when Gen.G had the simplest playoff bracket, with their semifinal opponent being KT – the same team that Gen.G had just obliterated in the LCK less than a month ago. However, this KT team has become the second LCK team in two consecutive years to thwart Chovy’s dream. In 2024, Gen.G was eliminated from the Worlds by T1 and also in the semifinals.

The 2026 Season Will Continue to Be a Challenge and Opportunity for Chovy
This season continues to be a dream start for Gen.G. But clearly, the gap from the domestic tournament, in this case, the LCK Cup to the Worlds is still very far. Opportunities and challenges await Chovy, as many fans also hope that this player can unleash his full potential to win the Worlds title at least once in his career.
