Gen.G Stars Still Haven’t Had the Chance to “Reunite”
As we know, after the 2022 season concluded, the LCK community witnessed the first departure of Marksman Ruler as he decided to transfer to JDG in the LPL. Following that, Peyz was promoted to Gen.G and quickly made his mark. After two seasons with Gen.G, Peyz himself transferred to JDG while Ruler returned to his “old home”. Based on what both have shown in 2025, the League of Legends community is eagerly anticipating a showdown between Peyz and Ruler, especially since Peyz is currently with T1 – the biggest rival of Gen.G.

However, throughout both the KeSPA Cup 2025 and LCK Cup 2026, T1 and Gen.G, for some strange reason, have not faced each other at all while Ruler played in the roster of the reigning LCK champions. In fact, even entering the Playoffs with two different brackets, T1 and Gen.G did not go head-to-head.
Therefore, it has been over three years since Ruler left Gen.G, Peyz was promoted, and then “The Ruler” returned while Peyz moved on. These two players have only met when exchanging jerseys in a photo that has gone incredibly viral within the League of Legends community. Most recently, they were both featured in the Marksman lineup for a showmatch, as the community eagerly awaits a clash between the two generations of AD carries from Gen.G.

But surely Ruler and Peyz will face each other in the future in the Gen.G – T1 showdown
Although the format of LCK Cup 2026 and the performances of both teams during the Playoffs did not bring the two generations of Marksmen together, there are still the LCK Regular Seasons 2026 and many international and domestic tournaments awaiting. When Gen.G faces T1, with the current meta, the performance of the two AD carries could be decisive for the outcome of the classic clash in the League of Legends scene.
