Top 5 Controversial AD Rankings in League of Legends for the First Half of the Season
As of now, most early tournaments in the professional League of Legends scene have passed the halfway mark and have entered the crucial Playoffs stage. With initial meta information, the community largely agrees that AD carries will play a significant role. Therefore, the statistics of these AD carries have received special attention this season. However, there have been many surprises, with even top teams and the recent top 5 AD rankings by KDA causing much controversy.

Accordingly, the number one ranking is not any familiar superstar, but rather 1xn – a young player performing quite steadily in the LNG jersey. In fact, there was a time when LNG was considered to be “reviving” with consecutive good results. However, the “Suzhou Unicorn” fell at the critical stage and could not make it to the LPL Split 1 Playoffs. Nevertheless, 1xn’s statistics are still the best, achieving a KDA of 7.5 over 21 games, higher than Ruler, who is in second place with a KDA of 7.
Notably, the rankings also feature Eddie – the only Vietnamese player and the sole representative from the APAC region. However, aside from Ruler’s position and somewhat Carliste’s, the rest are controversial. The reason is that these players achieved good KDA, but their teams did not accompany those results. LNG has been eliminated, FNC only made it to the playoffs thanks to a “wildcard” spot, and Eddie’s TSW has also not performed very steadily.

– Carliste has potential, but I’m not too impressed with his gameplay.
– 1xn has great stats, but his team got eliminated.
– A good KDA only shows you can finish off opponents; I think AD carries need to be assessed on several other metrics from the laning phase, damage output…
– Upset appears on the list but has a win rate below 50%.
All statistics will not matter if they do not accompany results, especially in the AD carry position.
For a long time, the AD carry position has been under a lot of pressure, and if the team performs poorly, this will be one of the roles to be “named first”. However, a team consists of 5 players and coaching staff, therefore, the results are not the responsibility of any single individual, but rather reflect the performance of all 5 members, starting from the drafting phase.
