MVK Announces SofM Officially Participating in the TSW Match
As known, at the beginning of the season when the LCP Split 1 2026 was about to start, MVK announced that SofM would step down from his coaching role to become the team’s second Jungle player this season. However, as time went by and match after match passed, SofM still had not played, causing many to grow anxious and the community speculated that this could be MVK’s “media stunt.” However, recently, on SofM’s birthday, MVK announced that the former SN star would officially return in the match against TSW.

This news immediately caused a stir in the Vietnamese League of Legends community, leading to a variety of opinions. A segment of fans is eagerly anticipating this “VCS derby,” especially since it has been a long time since SofM has appeared in the role of Jungle. During the “32 players and coaches” phase of the VCS that faced negativity, SofM did return to play but only in the Support role.
Another segment expressed their skepticism. This reaction is quite understandable given the long wait the Vietnamese League of Legends community has had since MVK announced SofM’s return as a player until he was officially confirmed in the lineup. “I won’t believe it until I see SofM actually playing,” one opinion stated.

But SofM Faces an Even Greater Challenge Beyond Public Attention
That is the pressure of results, as the match against TSW is not just SofM’s return as a player, but also to show whether the former World Championship runner-up can not only uplift the MVK team but also challenge for titles this season. For someone who is preparing to return to play in a familiar position for the first time in many years, this is an invisible pressure.

Not to mention, in the current meta, the Jungle role is very important for game operations. SofM’s responsibilities will be even greater, and now he will directly shoulder these responsibilities as he stands alongside his students – his juniors – in his first official match of the 2026 season.
