Faker Boasts an “Incredible” Statistic
Currently, Faker is the longest-serving player in the LCK. Broadening the perspective globally, there aren’t many League of Legends players who can surpass Faker in terms of longevity both in age and professional experience. Recently, it was discovered that Faker has played in the LCK more than 97% of the total champions currently present in Summoner’s Rift.

Accordingly, up until before Faker hits the milestone of 1000 matches in the LCK in April 2025, specifically when he reaches 999 matches, Faker has only lost to 4 champions: Ezreal (1276), Lee Sin (1209), Azir (1085), and Alistar (1010) in terms of total matches played in the highest tier of League of Legends in Korea. With 170 champions currently in League of Legends, the number of matches played for T1 by Faker has exceeded 97% of the champions in this game.

Additionally, according to the meta from last season until now, Lee Sin has become the champion with the least appearances in the top 5, and at this moment, Faker may be nearing the milestone of this champion. Meanwhile, champions like Alistar, Azir, or Ezreal still frequently appear, making it difficult for Faker to rise to the top, especially since Ezreal is seen as a champion that any Korean AD carry can pick, while Azir is a specialty champion for Faker as well as a number of other mid-lane superstars in the LCK.

Statistics Show Faker’s Resilience
In reality, nearly a year has passed, and the number of matches for Faker and the champions on the list has changed significantly. However, the statistics also reveal a truth: Faker is incredibly resilient in his career, and the LCK, as well as the entire League of Legends community, are benefiting from it, whether small or large.
According to Faker’s contract with T1, he will continue to compete until 2029. This will be another record for Faker that may remain unbroken by any player, both now and in the future.
