Allegedly, this is the first T1 player to lock in the 2024 Worlds skin
As everyone knows, after winning the Worlds Championship, the reigning champions gain the right to choose a commemorative skin for themselves, which will be released in the following season. For T1, this is of great interest, and the players themselves have to choose carefully because the skin not only brings them significant earnings but also reflects their personality, which the audience highly anticipates.

Recently, according to some internal revelations from T1, it seems that Oner has become the first player to “lock in” his Worlds skin for next year. According to Oner, he chose Vi because “there were no other champions left to choose from.”
Oner said: “At first, I was torn between Vi and Xin Zhao. But Riot intervened. They said I couldn’t choose Xin Zhao, so I had to go with Vi.” Both Doran and Faker also expressed regret for Oner, with the latter commenting that “Xin Zhao would have been a good choice.”

The community buzzes over Riot blocking Oner from choosing Xin Zhao for the T1 2024 skin
No one really knows the true reason behind Riot blocking Oner, according to his own revelation. However, this situation is not without precedent. Riot previously did not allow Faker to have an Ahri skin for Worlds, instead opting for Hall of Legends Ahri.

But if Xin Zhao meets the same fate as Ahri, the second player to join the Hall of Legends will likely be a jungler. Previously, there was speculation that Clearlove could be the next member to enter the Hall of Legends, while LCK fans believe it could be Bengi – the jungler with the most Worlds championships in League of Legends history and referred to as “the third summoner spell of the Demon King.”

With Oner’s revelation, League of Legends fans can expect many things in 2025, not just T1’s Worlds skin but potentially a new Hall of Legends member alongside Faker.
