The League of Legends champion has reached a “rock bottom” win rate despite shining brightly in the 2025 season.

In 2025, one of the most favored champions in the professional arena of League of Legends was Jhin. This champion was among the top five meta champions of last season, and Gumayusi had the highest win rate with Jhin at 72.1%. However, as of 2026, Jhin is now considered a “black spot” for AD carries, despite the fact that this role has been empowered with an additional item slot, while Jhin has not received any significant nerfs after the 2025 season ended.

Jhin currently has a rock-bottom win rate in major tournaments.

Thus far, Jhin has only been able to find victory in lower-tier competitions. Meanwhile, in major tournaments like the LCK and LPL, Jhin’s win rate remains a flat zero, despite being in the hands of familiar AD carries like Gumayusi, Viper, and GALA. In fact, since the start of the 2026 season (after the KeSPA Cup), no superstar AD carry has managed to improve Jhin’s win rate.

Even well-known superstars with this champion like Gumayusi and Viper haven't changed this win rate.

The reasons may stem from the champion itself as well as the changes in League of Legends

The reality is that Jhin is one of the standard marksmen, which means he has stable damage output and strong performance in the mid to late game, but is not a mobile champion. However, currently, more effective options than Jhin include Aphelios. Additionally, unlike other champions who can shoot continuously, Jhin must reload after firing four shots, which makes him less effective.

The current meta is making passive champions like Jhin struggle.

Moreover, the trend of the current meta is continuous fighting from start to finish. Thus, champions that require time to scale and are less mobile like Jhin find it increasingly hard to survive. Without the presence of supports who can provide maximum cover, it is almost impossible for him to hold his ground in fights. Consequently, Jhin is no longer favored and is only picked out of necessity.
