All game modes of League of Legends crashed simultaneously
On the afternoon of January 5th, while the gaming community was eager to enjoy their first ranked matches of the new year in both Solo Queue and casual game modes like Teamfight Tactics, the entire game system unexpectedly “lost connection”. In fact, many players subsequently lost rank points in a most unfair manner, especially those playing Teamfight Tactics. This is because, in this mode, it’s not always easy to create a satisfactory team composition where both traits and Augments work well together.

Therefore, right in the announcement post about the game error on the official League of Legends page, many players rushed in to express their frustration. Some had to endure playing in an unstable connection, frequently getting disconnected mid-game and forced to log back in. Those who persisted and were lucky enough might finish their matches in frustration before losing all their rank points and being marked as defeated.

The Frequency of League of Legends Instability is Increasing
Over the years, instances of League of Legends crashing on a normal day, without prior notice or maintenance updates, have been on the rise. Clearly, for gamers, this is something very hard to accept. Especially, there have been numerous occasions when the game client encountered issues during holidays or in the evenings – the times when the largest number of players gather.

Of course, after that, League of Legends returned to normal, but Riot offered no explanation or compensation, leaving players to “suck it up” and accept the situation.
