Peanut Reflects on His Career Journey
After concluding his journey at the 2025 World Championship, Peanut officially announced his retirement, with HLE being the final stop in the long career of the “Little Peanut.” However, it can be said that in the history of League of Legends, few players have had a career path as turbulent and peculiar as Peanut, where he could reach the pinnacle in one season and immediately hit rock bottom in the next, only to return to the peak once again.

In a recent talk show, Peanut was asked to evaluate his career journey, from being a part of the ROX Tigers lineup to standing alongside Faker, moving to the LPL, and then returning to the LCK. Surprisingly, among his choices, Peanut rated LGD as the place where he truly reached a peak state, if not the best, according to his assessment.

Peanut’s Choices Surprise Many
In reality, LGD at the time Peanut joined was a formidable team in the LPL. However, immediately after acquiring “Little Peanut,” the team’s performance plummeted, and of course, the “newcomer” became the target of criticism from fans in China. Peanut even became the first player in League of Legends history to receive a “funeral car” (a term for harsh criticism), thus setting a bad precedent and becoming a nightmare for players.
For many, especially Peanut’s fans, this may be a forgettable memory in the career of “Little Peanut.” However, for the former SKT T1 star, this was one of the times he was most satisfied with his performance, skills, and mentality. After all, Peanut still carried LGD to the 2020 World Championship and previously secured 4th place in the LPL Summer of that year.

It can be said that these were the peak moments of Peanut’s career, especially in terms of skills. Not to mention, he began to develop leadership skills after his time playing alongside Faker in SKT T1. Clearly, he overcame negativity to reach the top. Although the final results of the season were not as expected, Peanut made every effort.
