Thai Female Player in League of Legends Faces Severe Penalty for Cheating at SEA Games 33
Recently, the National Olympic Committee of Thailand officially announced the penalty for female player Warasin Naraphat (in-game nickname TokyoGurl) – the marksman of the Thai League of Legends team competing at SEA Games 33. Her actions were identified as using third-party software to cheat. The punishment imposed is disqualification from all Esports events at SEA Games 33.

Allegations of the Female Player Having Someone Play for Her
According to some information, suspicions arose after Thailand suffered a clean sweep against the Vietnamese women’s team with a score of 0-3 on December 15. Following this, many of Warasin’s teammates publicly expressed their disappointment on social media. Some even raised the question of whether she truly has the skill level to compete in high-tier League of Legends.
As a result, both the audience and experts believe that Warasin may have acted by having someone else play for her through supportive software. Given that the selection process for players on the Thai League of Legends team is conducted online, cheating is not a difficult task. However, the act of a female player cheating even during live matches is an unacceptable action. Therefore, it is understandable that she faced penalties.

Notably, the Thai team also received a significant leniency. In regular Esports tournaments, if cheating is detected from any individual or team during a match, the “offender” will be immediately disqualified. However, the Thai team was still allowed to substitute players and complete the match before the investigation into the incident began.
