The Rise of Vi – Brawler in TFT Season 13
Although it is a familiar trait in TFT Season 13, the Brawler composition is rarely used at high activation thresholds. The reason lies in the fact that this trait doesn’t possess very strong carries in the late game to fully utilize the effects at 6 Brawlers or more. However, everything has completely changed in the recent 14.24b patch when Riot Games released a comprehensive upgrade that significantly boosted the power of the Brawler composition.

Accordingly, the champion Vi received a substantial boost to both damage stats and shield creation capabilities in her skill, making her much more resilient and powerful. Even Caitlyn had her base damage and skill stats increased, while the crucial tank unit Loris had its maximum energy reduced. As a result, the power of the Brawler composition has skyrocketed to the point where many Korean masters have been continuously “spamming” this composition recently.
Building the Vi – Brawler Composition in TFT Season 13
In the early game, players should buy cheap yet quality units like Steb and Maddie to activate the 2 Brawler trait as early as possible. Additionally, activating the 2 Fighter and 2 Sniper traits will provide your composition with significant tankiness and damage. Therefore, units like Trundle, Sett, or Zeri should be prioritized during this stage to help players maintain as much health as possible.

By the mid-game, players will need to activate the 4 Brawler trait to ensure damage output for the main carries. Moreover, players will need to activate traits that fit their current carries and the game state. For example, adding Smeb would be very valuable when players build fighter items for Camille, while Akali or Nocturne would be good options if using Twisted Fate as a carry.

After reaching level 8, players can use their gold and roll down to 30 gold to search for Vi as the main carry. After that, players can consider saving gold again and aiming for level 9 to increase the chances of obtaining important 5-cost units like Caitlyn, Sevika, or even Rumble. Additionally, Ambessa is also a great addition in the late game as this unit can provide damage and some useful crowd control.

Some Tips When Building the Composition
An interesting point of this composition is that it interacts very well with special trait cores such as Betrayer, Military Law, Sisters, and Gathering… In addition to providing important champions like Caitlyn, Vi, Ambessa…, these special traits also add a significant amount of damage to the Brawler composition. Furthermore, unusual transformations like Stealth and Last Chance… prove to be very suitable for Vi as the main carry and help her significantly increase damage output.
