Founded in 2017 and based in Beijing, China, FunPlus Phoenix shocked the world by winning the 2019 World Championship in Paris after their League of Legends team annihilated G2 Esports with a score of 3-0 in the finals.

Not stopping at League of Legends, FunPlus Phoenix also has teams in PUBG and Fortnite, and according to reputable news site 1pv.fr, they are planning to expand into CS:GO. Specifically, FunPlus Phoenix has reached an agreement to acquire the roster of Heroic and will join FLASHPOINT as a partner of this league system, officially starting to compete from March 13.
If this deal is finalized, it is likely that Heroic will withdraw from the ESL Pro League, and according to sources close to the organizations, Heroic’s spot in Group B will be transferred to BIG, a team rumored to withdraw from FLASHPOINT in the coming days. However, all of this is just speculation and has not been officially confirmed by the parties involved.

Since January this year, Heroic has consistently been in the top 15 on the world rankings, but the recent performance of the Danish team has been quite disappointing. Heroic’s result at the ICE Challenge was only 7th/8th place, and most recently, they failed to qualify for the EU Minor after two losses to Heretics and Copenhagen Flames in the closed qualifier.
The current Heroic roster is:
Patrick “es3tag” Hansen
Martin “stavn” Lund
Johannes “b0RUP” Borup
Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer
Casper “cadiaN” Møller
Frederik “LOMME” Nielsen (coach)

However, it is likely that this is just a joke tweet as G2 Esports is a team known for being humorous and often teasing other teams on social media.
