Hyper-roll is an extremely interesting playstyle in Teamfight Tactics, instead of leveling up your Chosen and acquiring expensive units, this strategy focuses on cheap units that can be upgraded to three stars as quickly as possible. With the advantage of superior champion stats, you can quickly rack up win streaks and gold, making players using this method very rarely die early and lose rank points.

However, for game developers like Riot, they do not want Teamfight Tactics to become such an “industrial” game. Therefore, in the updates on the PBE server, Riot Games always seeks to reduce the power of hyper-roll, specifically, the appearance rate of 1-cost champions at medium to high levels has continuously decreased to extremely low levels. Additionally, another equally “toxic” playstyle based on the Supers of the Pilot tribe is also affected, specifically:

System
The gold from win/loss streaks has changed
No longer a 5+ streak for 4 gold each round, the maximum gold from win/loss streaks is limited to only 3 gold for a 4+ streak.
The appearance rates of the shop have changed
Level 8: The appearance rate of 1-cost champions has decreased from 15% to 13%, and the appearance rate of 5-cost champions has increased from 5% to 7%.
Level 9: The appearance rate of 4-cost champions has increased from 30% to 35%.
With this update, combined with the previous reduction of the appearance rate of 1-cost champions at levels 5, 6, and 7 a few days ago, it can be said that the hyper-roll playstyle will almost not exist in Season 3 of Teamfight Tactics; if it does, players will have to be extremely lucky. Furthermore, the 1-cost units in Season 3 do not have comprehensive strong units like Renekton, Nasus or tribes-systems that are strong early like Beast, Forest or those from Season 2, so the hyper-roll in the upcoming season will likely not exist.

Tribe – System
Time Rift: The additional attack speed every 4 seconds at the 6 champions mark has decreased from 70% to 65%.
Shieldbearers: The shield amount at the 4 champions mark has decreased from 35% to 30% of the champion’s maximum health.

Champions
Jarvan IV: The additional attack speed from the skill has increased from 50/60/70% to 50/75/100%.
Darius: Skill damage has increased from 350/475/700 to 400/500/750.

Shen: The duration of the skill has decreased from 3/4/5s to 2.5/3/4s.
Sona: The healing ability from the skill has decreased by 50 points at all levels.
Master Yi: The base attack speed has decreased from 0.9 to 0.8.
Jinx: The base damage has increased from 60 to 70.

Soraka: Healing has changed from 350/500/1500 to 300/450/2000.
Gangplank: Maximum energy has decreased by 10 points.
Miss Fortune: Maximum energy has decreased by 10 points, the damage of the skill Bullet Rain has increased from 55/70/500% to 75/100/999% of the maximum health of the enemies hit.

Super Robot
Note: The damage and skill stats of the Super Robot are based on the total level of the Pilot units, specific levels are 3/4/5/6/7/8/9.
Skill damage to the main target has decreased from 500/600/700/800/1000/1500/5000 to 400/500/600/700/900/1500/5000.
Area damage of the skill has decreased from 250/300/350/600/750/1125/5000 to 200/250/300/525/675/1125/5000.
