Riot Games once again made a strong impression in the League of Legends community when announcing their champion rework project, with the main character this time being Fiddlesticks. Without discussing how unbalanced this scarecrow might become upon release, both the design and gameplay of the new Fiddlesticks have received extremely positive feedback.
In fact, many gamers jokingly say that Riot must have some extremely “twisted” minds to create such a bizarre and iconic character. However, in reality, even before Riot Games announced anything, the gaming community had already unleashed their creativity with ideas for reworking Fiddlesticks.
What’s noteworthy is that these ideas are even creepier than Riot Games’ creations, and it’s not out of the question that Riot’s designers may draw some inspiration from these concepts to create an impressive Fiddlesticks figure that we are about to welcome in the Summoner’s Rift.
Nils Wellander’s artwork can be considered one of the most impressive fan-art versions of the reworked Fiddlesticks, this design was created based on the original sketch released by Riot Games
The author Dragon Born Slayers came up with the idea of turning Fiddlesticks into a true ‘farmer’ instead of the straw scarecrow image
The rework version by artist Irun Hipper looks not much different from the old version, except that it turns the scythe into a part of his body
The idea of gamer Jota Diez, according to which the scarecrow is just a decoy for Fiddlesticks, his true power belongs to the darkness, symbolized by the flock of black crows hidden behind the scarecrow
And finally are the sketches of the Fiddlesticks rework project by Riot Games. It can be seen that the champion design team has come up with many quite ‘awkward’ ideas, ranging from turning Fiddlesticks into… a female character to releasing a ‘cute’ design for this scarecrow
