FSL – the League of Legends tournament system for female players is about to be held in Singapore. Our Vietnam will also have a representative, which is the female team V Gaming, to compete with girls from Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. One of the female players who is drawing attention at this tournament is the Top Lane player – VGM itsMin. Let’s chat and hear the thoughts of this small but incredibly skilled girl before this exciting tournament!
1. Hello Min, can you introduce a bit about yourself?
Hello everyone, I am Min from the female League of Legends team V Gaming. My real name is Nguyễn Trần Gia Mẫn, and I was born in 2000. Currently, I am a streamer and play Top Lane for V Gaming.

2. How long have you been playing League of Legends? What got you into League of Legends? What are some personal achievements you have accomplished?
I have been playing League of Legends since the end of Season 3 until now, which is quite a long time. It started when a friend of mine played for 2 months before me, then she invited me to play together, and from there I became addicted.
I have won the DuoWithMe 1v1 solo tournament. Recently, I also won the FSL tournament for all of Vietnam. As for other tournaments, if I didn’t win first place, it doesn’t count because if I compete, I have to win.
3. What is your favorite champion? What is the highest rank you have achieved? Can you share a bit about why you like playing Top Lane?
I really like playing assassins, so my favorite champions are Irelia, Akali, LeBlanc, Ryze, and Camille. Right now, I’m stuck in Diamond 2 because I don’t have much time to play ranked. Every day, I have to stream and play normal games with fans, so I rarely get to play ranked and progress isn’t very fast.
Last season, I reached Challenger with 550 points and then dropped right away on the same day, so I’ve just been hanging around Grandmaster.Actually, I don’t really like playing Top Lane at all because I’ve played it too much, especially with the current top meta; I feel it’s not really suitable for me. Even in ranked games right now, I mostly play Mid Lane. I might bring Mid Lane champions to Top Lane in the tournament because I’m not afraid of any opponent (laughs).

4. Have you ever received criticisms such as “boosting rank” or “buying a high-ranked account”? If so, how would you react?
I rarely receive such criticisms because most people know my abilities. My League of Legends account has been played since I first started, so there’s no way I bought a high-ranked account. Since I decided to pursue a professional female player path and reached a high rank through my own effort, most of my rank climbing has witnesses.

For example, players who play with me or acquaintances who meet me in-game know each other and chat with me. I always respond, so it has to be me playing to know. And 70% of my ranked games are streamed, and many people watch and see. But streaming while ranked is really hard because I can’t focus 100%. Sometimes I play really “bad” and my temperament can easily get flustered, which makes me upset. When I’m upset, I can’t play well. There have been times I slammed my keyboard on stream and felt really foolish (sad).
5. What do you think about your opponents at the upcoming FSL Singapore? What is your team’s goal for the tournament?
I haven’t watched them play, so I can’t evaluate yet. But normally, I don’t think highly of girls playing games, so I feel confident. The goal for my team is definitely to win the championship. I personally am not afraid of any opponent at all.
6. What are your future plans?
My plan is still to stream and compete. After this tournament, I think I will focus on switching to Mid Lane completely and not play Top Lane anymore. Because I can play and understand almost all Mid Lane champions, and they suit me better. The Top Lane meta changes unpredictably, and my champion pool is not broad. I don’t like playing tank champions because they really don’t suit my playstyle.

Plus, my personality is such that if I don’t like playing a champion, I won’t play it even if it’s strong, so continuing to play Top Lane will become a weakness for the team. After the tournament, I will also try to work on my image more. I hope everyone can know me as a capable female gamer rather than just a streamer. Therefore, I will strive to play really well in the upcoming tournament to bring glory to Vietnam’s League of Legends. I hope everyone will support my team!
Thank you, Min, for your incredibly meaningful insights. I wish you great success on the path you’ve chosen and with V Gaming to bring glory to Vietnam’s League of Legends.
