T1’s match in the second round of the LCK Spring 2020 against APK Prince was also the team’s first time participating in an online competition format. With a significant gap in skill level, Faker and his teammates had no difficulty defeating the newly promoted APK team after just 2 games.
But there is a more interesting story than the one-sided match mentioned above, which is the impressive display from the reigning LCK champions. As we know, after each match, the MVP players from the winning team participate in an interview.
With the online competition format, this was no exception; the only difference is that instead of an in-person interview with reporters as before, it transitioned to an online interview. And the interview location was any area in the team’s Gaming House.
No need to search far, as soon as the interview segment was broadcast, Faker and Ellim – the substitute jungler who just had his first official match in the LCK for T1, and also one of the 2 MVPs of the match between T1 vs APK, were ready to pose in… the team’s trophy display room.

For other teams, they would surely look for a spot with a solid color background for convenience during filming. But T1’s CEO didn’t think that way. The players were assigned to be interviewed in the traditional room – where the team’s titles are displayed.
And of course, looking at the shiny trophies behind Faker and Ellim is enough to make viewers feel overwhelmed by the team’s impressive collection of titles, while they did not make any statements, choosing this “eye-catching” background is like an unspoken affirmation of T1’s status in the history of professional League of Legends.

Perhaps still feeling annoyed about the “showing off” from their G2 Esports counterparts, (“Just one MSI cup and they dare to brag”) lately, both Faker and other members of T1 have been very diligent… counting trophies.
Of course, the high-level banter from teams is nothing new to us, but we wonder if G2 regrets their impulsive actions, as just showing off their MSI cup has led to T1, the elite team, spamming trophies all over social media like this; just looking at it feels… a bit exhausting…
