A few hours ago, a Reddit account named RiotLeaks unexpectedly posted a mysterious 1-minute video featuring some rather cryptic dialogue. This could be a snippet from a complete video titled “The Guide” that Riot is working on. It immediately stirred up excitement and sparked debates about who the voice in the clip belongs to, and its relevance to League of Legends and upcoming events.
The dialogues in the video:
“Surrounded by warriors, you either fight or are frozen, but there is still another way.”
“Not in the tribe, your only goal is to survive. With no allies, you cannot expect someone to save you.”
“We traverse through storms and battlefields.”
“The spoils of war belong to the conquerors, while the remnants belong to the clean-up crew.”
“From Ghulfrost to the City of Black Frost, we move with difficulty but in great unity.”
“Since the time of the battle between the Three Sisters, no Iceborn has any memory of it. But we were there, not me but us.”

After this video was uploaded to Reddit, many debated that the voice belonged to Pantheon, while others thought it was Braum’s, and some even speculated it could be Udyr or a Legendary skin. Another opinion suggested that these lines hint at a rework for Volibear, following the Fiddlesticks rework.

Sounds a bit like Pantheon, doesn’t it?
I don’t know, but to me, it sounds more like Braum. Maybe he’s getting an 1820 RP skin (the price for Legendary skins on foreign servers).

It could be related to Volibear.
“We traverse through storms and battlefields” – sounds reasonable, but in the video, it’s a human voice.
I also agree that it should be Volibear; he’s due for a rework.

No, he said he wasn’t there during the era of the Three Sisters, just his tribe. But Volibear was blinded by Lissandra, and this bear doesn’t quite fit the clean-up crew role.
Udyr is the champion I think of. Could it relate to having no tribe, no allies?
But the voice sounds very different.
All the dialogues are about the destruction of tribes. Could it be related to Tryndamere?

First off, regarding the voice in the video, there are currently two champions whose voices closely resemble that in the clip: Braum and Pantheon. Pantheon is the Aspect of War from Targon, while the dialogue in the video refers to the brutalities of battles in Freljord, making it likely that this option is ruled out and we have one candidate left: Braum.
Braum in League of Legends is always portrayed as the champion of joy, loving the adorable Poros, and helping others. However, the dialogue in the above video carries a somber tone, telling tales of bloody war pasts, which does not fit this champion’s personality at all.

Before discussing whose voice this may be, let’s talk a bit about the content in the video. Most of the dialogues narrate war, the storms in the Freljord region, where according to the lore, Volibear – The Child of the Storm is a Demigod representing both of these themes. From the above, we can infer that the video is a tale told by an old soldier who has gone through many battles, not necessarily the voice of a specific champion but merely a narrative voice.

It is very likely that these lines will appear in a trailer video about Volibear’s rework; remember that previously Ornn had a “hymn” dedicated to the forge god upon his release. Now, with the god of war and destruction like Volibear getting a rework, it makes sense for the introduction to come from the memories of an old soldier with such a somber rhythm.
