A few days ago, a one-minute video purported to be voice lines of the new champion or an introduction to the new Volibear was leaked on Reddit. Just hours ago, the account named Riot Leak revealed two more images that are claimed to be skins of a new champion, and even disclosed that the name of this new character is rumored to be Aidyn.
With both images described as Freljord “The Guide”, it is almost certain that the items in them and further, the new champion originates from this cold northern land. Notably, in image 2, we see the new champion Aidyn’s helmet closely resembles that of Sejuani, the champion of the Frostguard tribe. Not to mention, the weapon, with two scythes tied together like a bola, is reminiscent of Sejuani’s bola weapon from the Iceborn.
Revisiting the article a few days ago about the leaked video, another theory is proposed that the voice lines in that video belong to the new champion Aidyn. The Frostguard are known to be the most warlike tribe among the three, so it is understandable that the tribe members under Sejuani endure hardships after each battle or during cold marches.
In the dialogue of the video, there is a notable line: “Not in the tribe, your only goal is to survive. With no allies, you cannot expect someone to save you.” It is likely that in some unforeseen event during the marches, the character named Aidyn lost his tribe and fell into peril, seeking to survive and return exceptionally strong.
However, the information we know about Aidyn is still very limited. In the new champion introduction video from Riot earlier this year, the images they presented did not relate much to the Freljord area at all. Furthermore, Riot Games has not taken any action to confirm the leaked information, and we don’t even know the initial sketch of this champion, so it is likely that Aidyn is still in the brainstorming and early production stage.
