Recently, Riot Games officially announced the launch date for the Closed Beta version of the most anticipated multiplayer FPS of the first half of 2020 – Valorant.
Specifically, after releasing the client for players to pre-download, the launch date for Valorant has been officially set for April 7, 2020, which means that in just over a week, the game will be available to the gaming community.

However, it’s quite unfortunate for the Vietnamese gaming community, as it seems that this Closed Beta version will only apply to North America and Europe, while the launch date for Asia remains a mystery.

Valorant is a FPS game that was previously known as Project A, first announced in October 2019, part of Riot Games’ new game series – the creators of League of Legends. The biggest difference between Valorant and other games in the same genre like Overwatch or Paladins is that, although the characters have their own unique skill sets, most of them are support abilities, while combat outcomes are still determined by traditional shooting mechanics.

It is known that the upcoming Beta version will introduce players to 10 characters (agents), and it appears that 5 of them will be available for free. Although there is no clear connection to the League of Legends universe, many players have discovered that most characters in Valorant are inspired by Easter Eggs or old champion designs from that game.
