With the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in the US, about 96% of the people in the land of the free are required to stay home and not go out during this time. For the employees at Riot Games, they adapted to working online a few weeks ago, so this does not significantly affect the maintenance of League of Legends. The biggest difference is perhaps the super bizarre ideas that come up more frequently as Rioters are working online.

Most recently, Riot Sirhaian, a member of the effects design team who upgraded the visual effects for Thresh, Lux, and many other champions, posted his super bizarre creation on his personal Twitter. Specifically, he felt that Veigar was not dark enough, so he granted this champion infinite power where all skills have global range and deal 666,666 true damage. For those who don’t know, 666 in the West is considered a sign of the devil, Satan.

Riot Sirhaian: “I’ve always thought that Veigar wasn’t evil enough, so I tried to add a bit more power to his skill set. Now all skills will be global and deal true damage; he doesn’t need AP anymore, that’s just excessive. Oh, and there’s no cooldown anymore, we don’t have time to wait for that.
R will eliminate opponents instantly to ensure their screen is always in a gloomy state. E will stun immediately, and standing in it will take even more damage, W will be gigantic. Oh, and Veigar will be taller and tougher now. The update might come in patch 666,666 XD.”

Reading through Riot Sirhaian’s shares, we immediately know this is another product created by Rioters during their free time. Adding too many overpowered abilities to Veigar like this is no different from “breaking the game”; otherwise, Riot must make all other champions equally powerful to balance it out. Well, they already did that with Nautilus, if anyone remembers.
In the context of Riot Games employees having to work online for a long time, it is not out of the question that they will continue to grant infinite powers to other champions. Who knows, we might soon see Yasuo auto-attacking with tornadoes or Sett pulling opponents into a “mudamudamudamuda”.
