What Do Professional Gamers Say About the Latest CS:GO Update?

An update with many significant changes to weapon strengths.

Finally, after a slew of complaints from both casual players and professional gamers regarding the dominance of the SG553, Valve has decided to nerf this weapon. Just hours ago, CS:GO received a significant update, in which the SG553 was heavily nerfed with a reduction in fire rate and accuracy to “balance it better with other weapons.” These changes are quite similar to what Valve did with the AUG last year and will certainly make players think twice before purchasing the SG, as it is no longer overwhelmingly superior to other rifles like the M4 or AK.

The fire rate of the SG553 has been significantly reduced compared to before.

In this update, Valve also made adjustments to the strengths of several other weapons: the accuracy of the AUG has been adjusted, the price of the M4A1-S has been lowered to $2,900 (which is $200 cheaper than the M4A4), and the accuracy of the DE has been improved during jumpshots. Additionally, the Tec-9, a once-dominant weapon that has nearly disappeared in recent years after being nerfed, has also been buffed with increased accuracy during continuous fire.

In the near future, we will definitely witness some “magical” DE jumpshots in professional play.

In this latest update, Valve also made some adjustments to maps such as Anubis, Office, Chlorine, and fixed bugs in familiar maps like Inferno and Overpass. Readers can find the details of the update on April 11 HERE.

Immediately after this update was released, a number of professional gamers tweeted their thoughts on the important changes, most celebrating the nerf of the SG553.

“CS is truly back, thanks to the dev team!” – apEX shares on Twitter.
“Damn… can I retire at 17?” – A tearful tweet from young talent Brollan upon learning his favorite gun was nerfed.
“Haha goodbye SG!” – karrigan.

Other professional gamers also shared their assessments of the other changes in this update, especially regarding the M4A1-S and Tec-9, which have seen less use recently, as well as the DE – the iconic weapon of shooting games.

“I’m really happy with this update since it buffs the M4A1-S (because I use it) and nerfs the SG553 (now noobs in deathmatch won’t use it anymore), but the change to the DE is really confusing” – huNter expresses his delight with this latest update.
“In my opinion, the change to the Deagle was unnecessary; this isn’t COD, Fortnite, or Overwatch.” – Magisk feels perplexed by the DE buff.

This update will undoubtedly bring significant changes for both casual players and professional gamers alike. Stay tuned for the latest and hottest CS:GO news in our upcoming updates!
