After much speculation, JackeyLove has officially made his debut in the colors of TOP Esports. Recently, he also had his first match in TES’s 2-0 victory over Victory Five.
Interestingly, as of now, JackeyLove is the only signing in the mid-season transfer market of professional League of Legends, and this has led to quite a few humorous stories, especially since it coincides with the “season of separation” due to the pandemic.
First, TES was unable to hold a press conference or issue a press release to announce their new signing, even though this is considered the most notable transfer in the LPL right now. All information regarding JackeyLove’s signing was limited to an image of him wearing a mask at the team’s Gaming House.
Furthermore, recently, during the match between TOP Esports and Victory Five, the LPL organizers had to… Photoshop JackeyLove’s image to supplement the introduction section for both teams. The reason is that these shots were originally done at the tournament’s studio and not by the teams, and given the current situation where teams are required not to leave the Gaming House, JackeyLove had no way to conduct a photoshoot.
In a pinch, the LPL organizers had to use “fake” images to introduce TES’s JackeyLove. Not to mention, in the match against V5, JackeyLove was taken care of very attentively by the opposing team and became one of the most… fed players on the TES side. Fortunately, his team still performed well and easily secured victory against the team that is currently at the bottom of the standings.
