As previously reported, Riot Games recently announced with excitement that they have raised a total of 6 million USD (approximately 142 billion VND) from the release of the Karma Divine Support skin in League of Legends, aimed at funding charitable projects.
However, it is also essential to emphasize that how to use that money effectively poses a significant challenge. The solution proposed by Riot is to allow League of Legends players to decide how to use the funds they have contributed, by selecting trustworthy charitable organizations to donate to.

Specifically, based on evaluation criteria from experts, Riot’s charity fund has selected the most credible charitable/non-profit organizations in each server region, totaling 46 partners, to conduct the voting.
The voting feature will be displayed directly in the client, allowing players to choose the organization they trust the most by clicking the Vote button. This feature also enables gamers to learn more about the non-profit organizations by clicking the Learn More button.
50% of the charity funds allocated to each region will be donated to the organization with the highest votes in that area. Meanwhile, the other organizations will share the remaining 50% equally, with each organization receiving no less than 10,000 USD.

Through the Charity Voting section in the client, players will vote for one of the three most reputable charitable organizations in their region, based on the evaluation criteria of Riot Games, specifically the Riot Games Social Impact fund.
The Vietnam server is categorized under the Southeast Asia region, with three options: Dariu Organization, Open Mind Project, and Passerelles Numeriques. Each organization has different orientations and target groups, for example, Dariu focuses on supporting the poor, low-income women, and children with disabilities through financial and educational assistance.
Meanwhile, Open Mind and Passerelles Numeriques target youth, aiming to spread technology, life skills, and modern educational methods to those in difficult circumstances.

All 46 organizations selected by Riot Games are reputable names in the charitable sector, actively engaged in practical actions to prevent and mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sharing about the launch of the Charity Voting feature, Riot Games emphasized: “Our work cannot stop there (after raising 6 million USD from Karma Divine Support). We believe that the people closest to the community are the best ones to help us find solutions. Therefore, we will have to consult players worldwide in choosing the best non-profit organization for their region.” – According to lienminh.garena.vn.
This means that in addition to utilizing the generated revenue, Riot Games also values the community’s empowerment to choose the charitable options they deem optimal. Through this voting process, the League of Legends community will also have the opportunity to update their knowledge about reputable charitable organizations around the world.
