Recently, in an exclusive interview with Allure Korea, Jihyo, the leader and main vocalist of the famous Asian girl group TWICE, continued to express her love for League of Legends, stating that this game is what brings her joy after stressful hours of being a female idol. Here’s a snippet from the interview on Allure:

“When Jihyo gets home after a tiring day as a pop star, the lead vocalist of the most popular girl group in South Korea, she changes into her most comfortable pajamas, ties her hair up, powers on her computer, puts on her glasses to protect her eyes from the screen light, and immerses herself in the world of League of Legends.
[…]
The moment she caught the public’s eye, Jihyo’s life was completely turned upside down, leaving no room for personal life: She has to mind her words, control her weight, and every emotional expression and personal relationship becomes public and subject to scrutiny. Perhaps she is aware of this even when giving this interview.
But then Jihyo soon finds joy again when she returns to her little happy place: her home with League of Legends. When playing the game, she is simply an anonymous 23-year-old gamer, and that makes her comfortable, even if it only happens a few times a week.”
“I am always stressed about maintaining my image in the eyes of the public. But when I play games, I can truly be myself at heart. No one can judge me through a computer screen, so that makes me really comfortable.” – Jihyo shared with the reporter.

In fact, the story of Jihyo playing League of Legends has been known to her fan community for a long time, however, out of respect for the singer’s little privacy, gamers have not been too eager to seek information about her on the Korean server.
A cute story from Jihyo when she first stepped into the Summoner’s Rift is when she told her fans that she got “yelled at” while playing League of Legends because she was new and played too “poorly”, not realizing it was actually just scripted taunts programmed by Riot in the… bot games.
Let’s admire some incredibly charming images of this famous “League of Legends gamer” from South Korea:
