The final chapter of the Zed comic – one of the works combining League of Legends and Marvel, has recently brought unexpected “twists” to the story between Zed and Shen, a topic that has been of great interest to the gaming community for many years.

As known, in the most popular storyline about Zed, he is the one who betrayed his Master – Kusho, who is also Shen’s biological father, to seize the forbidden dark arts, creating an enduring enmity between these two champions.
However, in the final chapter of the Zed comic, Riot Games confirmed that Kusho is still alive (in other words, faked his death) after Zed’s massacre of the Kinkou Order. But even more terrifying is that he is the one pulling the strings behind all the dark plots that Zed and Shen have witnessed.

Kusho is the one who captured Jhin, but he is also the one who set him free, intending to disrupt the peaceful life in Ionia. In the final pages of the Zed comic, Kusho appears under a new title – Lord Kusho, a devious and cunning figure who harbors ambitions to use the forbidden dark arts to dominate all of Ionia.
It seems that Zed is aware of Kusho faking his death, but what he didn’t expect is that behind his master’s act lies a dark and malicious plot, as Kusho is even willing to sacrifice his own son – Shen, to serve his goals.

In this chapter, the deep bond between Zed and Shen is also clearly illustrated. Although Shen sees Zed as the enemy who killed his father, he has never denied this brother. Meanwhile, Zed, upon learning that Kusho used Shen as a “pawn,” expresses his outrage and declares his opposition to his master.
At Kusho’s secret base, a fierce battle erupted between the two masters of the forbidden dark arts, but Zed emerged victorious because he had mastered this forbidden art throughout his life, while Kusho had only been familiar with it for a few months.

In the end, Zed killed Kusho, turning the rumors about him into reality. And in the final moment, the brotherhood between Shen and Zed is once again deeply expressed. Zed chooses to bear the title of killer of his master, deciding to keep the truth hidden so Shen remains unaware of the true nature of the father he has always revered.
Another character that left a strong impression in the final chapter about Zed is Kayn. Initially, he betrayed his master to follow Kusho, but in the end, when the curtain falls, Kayn reveals himself as a “double agent,” infiltrating Kusho’s forces to help Zed investigate him.
Kayn also declares that he will never betray Zed, the one who gave him a new life and taught him the meaning of honor.

Zed’s story has brought incredible twists in portraying the image of this champion. Zed remains an assassin, the number one villain in the world of League of Legends, but perhaps after this work, the rare good qualities of Zed and Kayn will win over more fans for this master-apprentice duo.
