Since the launch of the Closed Beta, the appeal of VALORANT has become hotter than ever. With a record of 1.7 million viewers on Twitch, Riot’s shooter is showing promising potential to become a major competitor against similar titles in the future.
However, alongside this, VALORANT has also become a focal point of controversy, especially regarding the Vanguard Anti-Cheat system – an anti-hack system developed by Riot Games to prevent third-party software interference in the game.

Despite being accused of being a background application on PCs that significantly impacts the experience of other games, Riot Games firmly asserts that this feature allows their anti-hack system to prevent all attacks from cheating software with absolute effectiveness.
On April 17, a representative from Riot Games sent a message to all players, committing to not disclose any user information, while also expressing great confidence in the effectiveness that Vanguard provides.

According to Inven Global, Riot Games recently announced a reward of $100,000 (approximately over 2.3 billion VND) for anyone who finds a security vulnerability in Vanguard.
“We want players to continue enjoying our games with peace of mind. If you believe you have found a vulnerability in Vanguard that compromises player security and privacy, please submit a report immediately, and you may qualify for a substantial reward payment.” – Riot Games stated.
In other words, to receive this hefty reward, players simply need to hack into the Vanguard system, and if successful, they can report the security vulnerability to Riot to claim the reward. Riot Games believes this is an appropriate move to build trust with the gaming community regarding the safety and security capabilities of the Vanguard Anti-Cheat, but many gamers feel that the developer needs to do much more to prove the validity of their claims.
