Bin is Criticized for Never Reaching Zeus’s Level
Remember back before the 2024 World Championship, Bin confidently declared himself the best top laner in the world. This statement was quickly opposed by many players who argued that the best in their position must be a World Champion (at that time still Zeus). And the reality proved that Bin’s confidence was unfounded when BLG lost to T1, and he was surpassed by Zeus in the 2024 World Championship finals.
Recently, BLG released a documentary episode lasting about 55 minutes to summarize the memorable journey of the 2024 season. However, after the audience finished watching this video, they realized a series of weaknesses in Bin. Specifically, Bin is a very “stubborn” player and lacks flexibility in gameplay. This makes it seem like Bin only plays well during the laning phase, leading LPL fans to comment that he will never reach Zeus’s level.

Bin Needs to Change a Lot if He Wants to Surpass Zeus
Remember in his livestreams, SofM also mentioned Bin’s overly rigid personality when they were teammates at Suning. SofM even revealed that he had to beat Bin in 1v1 duels to be able to advise him. The downside of this is that Bin gradually became a player whose gameplay focused entirely on the laning phase, with other skills like timing fights and map movement not being very good.
Meanwhile, Zeus has been a well-rounded top laner, excelling in both laning and team fights over the past few years. This allows Zeus to adapt well to different metas and perform under high pressure. Notably, Zeus can handle unfavorable lane swaps that typically disadvantage top lane players.
Therefore, in order to reach the level and success of Zeus, Bin needs to change a lot, both in personality and gameplay. If not, Bin is likely to become a “one-dimensional” player and can be read easily when facing major opponents. In that case, winning a world championship title may forever remain an unfulfilled dream for Bin.
