Udyr Speedster
Spirit Guard is perhaps one of the most neglected champions in League of Legends, but for the challengers in Korea, they always find a suitable playstyle even for less popular champions like Udyr. Recently, Udyr Speedster has officially emerged, and what’s special is that this playstyle primarily utilizes magic damage from AP items rather than physical damage or tankiness.

The thing that makes Udyr feel so “clunky” is that this champion has only one approach: going straight and dashing to the enemy. Of course, you cannot magically give Udyr teleport, so players have thought of using all the movement speed boosts in the rune tree to maximize this champion’s mobility. The item build for this champion also focuses a lot on movement speed with items like Boots of Swiftness and Shurelya’s Battlesong.

Twisted Fate Aftershock
One reason why Twisted Fate is not very popular in solo queue is due to his fragility and tendency to lose lane very early. Simply put, this champion’s stats are not impressive, and his skills are easy to dodge except for his Gold Card stun, which means Twisted Fate always finds himself at a disadvantage during trades, especially against melee champions.

For this reason, some players have adopted the Aftershock rune for Twisted Fate to enhance his trading capabilities. With added tankiness from Aftershock and the Resolve tree in general, this champion will find it considerably easier during mid-lane matchups. As long as he survives this phase, the pressure on the map from Twisted Fate after level 6 is incredibly significant.

Vi Blade of the Ruined King
This is not a new playstyle, but Vi Blade of the Ruined King has recently emerged as a very strong option in the Korean ranks. With her incredibly strong champion kit, Vi can win many 1v1 fights in the jungle just with her W – Vault Breaker. To further enhance this capability, the Blade of the Ruined King rune is an excellent choice; with a significant attack speed boost, Vi will continuously activate the armor reduction effect and increase the attack speed of her W.

Because of this continuous fighting playstyle, Vi Blade of the Ruined King is best suited with items that dramatically increase damage like Galeforce or Goredrinker. Vi may not have the flashiest gameplay, but the weight behind her punches is something not to be underestimated.

Illaoi Transcendence
At this point, very few people know and understand this champion’s skills, let alone know how to counter Illaoi. She is an extremely strong fighter in 1v1 situations with superior damage from her tentacles. The biggest issue for this champion is that there isn’t a rune that truly fits all of her skills, so it’s best to utilize the Transcendence rune when you can take advantage of most of its points.

Another point that makes Transcendence strong for Illaoi is that the Inspiration tree provides too many things this champion needs. Sometimes you need to dive the tower to kill an enemy but are worried about dying in the process; no worries, because Perfect Timing will give you a Stopwatch for free. If you lack a bit of gold to buy Black Cleaver but need to back, Future Market can help you get items earlier than your opponent. In summary, this is an incredibly interesting playstyle that you should try.
