Uzi’s contract with Royal Never Give Up officially expired on April 30th. Notably, this contract was a six-month agreement, extended from a previous deal. During this six-month period, Uzi did not play a single match for RNG.
For this reason, the future of the former number one marksman in China has become quite uncertain. RNG is no longer compelled to keep Uzi at all costs, and the star’s next destination remains a mystery.

Recently, Chinese netizens circulated an image related to upcoming transfer deals. In the first line of the message, the name Uzi was mentioned, stating that he would join Invictus Gaming as an Assistant Coach.

However, Ding “Dingbo” Yu-Bo, the Assistant Coach of Invictus Gaming, immediately denied this information:
“A person I don’t know, talking about a fanciful story that I am unaware of, makes me smile in disbelief.”

Based on Dingbo’s reaction, it seems unlikely that Uzi will join IG as an Assistant Coach. However, this only adds to the anxiety of the League of Legends community in China, as they are left wondering where their number one star will go next.
After a long period of being plagued by injuries and being unable to contribute much to RNG, it appears that the team is also less inclined to retain Uzi as a marksman. Evidence of this is their previous contact with JackeyLove as a potential replacement during the last pre-season transfer window.
However, there is still a possibility that Uzi could remain with RNG if he accepts a bench role or even a new position, such as an Assistant Coach for his former teammate Mata.
