The League of Legends transfer market in Vietnam is heating up like never before, as rumors about VCS teams potentially bringing in major Korean foreign players are becoming increasingly common.
One of the most noteworthy “rumored faces” that has recently emerged is related to a former T1 player – Kim “Profit” Jun-hyung. Rumors surrounding this Korean player began when the gaming community discovered that he has been “try-hard” ranking in Vietnam since March, and continuously sharing images showing himself in Vietnam during this time.

It is not uncommon for Profit or any international player to want to challenge the harshness of the Vietnamese ranking system, as exemplified by Cowsep, who became quite famous for streaming while ranking in Vietnam.
The possibility that Profit wants to follow Cowsep’s path by attracting Vietnamese fans is plausible, but what’s noteworthy is that on a personal Facebook account believed to belong to Profit, he has stated that his current residence is Ho Chi Minh City.

If he is coming to Vietnam just for streaming, it truly shows his dedication to the craft, but it is also possible that the former SKT player will become the first foreign rookie in VCS.
Just a few hours ago, former Dashing Buffalo coach – Ren, also revealed some noteworthy transfer rumors regarding VCS teams, with the biggest highlight being that the top League of Legends tournament is likely to welcome a wave of “Korean foreign players” in both player and coaching positions.

Coincidentally, the information about Profit aligns perfectly with the aforementioned rumors; he is a top lane player from Korea, while Ren provided information about EVOS Esports preparing to welcome a “Korean TOP”.
In fact, discussions about Profit being in Vietnam only gained traction after Ren’s status update was posted, which further fueled the suspicions of the Vietnamese League of Legends community.
Profit, born in 1995, has played for many professional League of Legends teams such as SKT T1 (T1), Ninja in Pyjamas, Team ROCCAT, and most recently Rogue Esports Club in the LEC. After finishing his contract with Rogue, Profit has not joined any professional team, and since the beginning of 2020, he has been on a journey to conquer the Challenger rank in Vietnam, and he is even diligently learning Vietnamese and communicating with fans using… Google Translate.

The name Profit became widely known when he played for T1 during half of the season, participating in LCK Spring 2017 as a substitute top laner for Huni.
Of course, Profit cannot be compared in terms of level and brand with top names who have previously played for T1 like Khan, Huni… or rising stars like Canna, but as a player who has fought in top-tier competitions like LCK or LEC, Profit would certainly be a very quality contract for the average standard of VCS, if the news of him joining a Vietnamese League of Legends team turns out to be true.
