In the current 10.9 patch, it’s not the traditional or strong names in tournaments, but Pyke is actually the strongest mid-lane champion right now. Of course, with the meta shifting, Pyke becomes stronger, but this champion hasn’t been buffed at all in recent patches, and is even gradually disappearing from the Support role, so it’s extremely unreasonable for him to suddenly be strong in mid.

To explain this absurdity, we need another absurdity; specifically, Pyke is experiencing a very serious bug, not one but two significant bugs that make him incredibly overpowered. The first is the bug with his Q – Bone Skewer, which allows him to fully heal with just one successful pull.
According to the “bug god” Vandiril’s video, to execute this bug you need three conditions: 1 is to use the Keystone rune Grasp of the Undying, 2 is to have the Energy Overflow point in the secondary tree, and 3 is to own the item Eternity Stone. Although these three elements theoretically have nothing to do with each other, when used together on Pyke, somehow he can fully heal. Not to mention that when activating Grasp of the Undying, Pyke can have over 1400 damage, more than 600 armor, and 500 magic resistance.

The second bug of Pyke lies in his E – Phantom Water Line, which allows Pyke to “one-shot” opponents instantly with this skill. The noteworthy thing here is that this bug doesn’t require special itemization or runes like with the Q skill; you can just dash and deliver a “full health” hit to the opponent; simply put, Pyke is just too broken and cannot blame the item bug.
With these two game-breaking bugs, Pyke deserves to be called the “most broken champion” in League of Legends right now. Not only is the conversion rate of this champion’s stats problematic, but the damage and effects of Pyke’s skills are also experiencing extremely serious bugs. Hopefully, in the coming days, Riot Games will release hotfixes to correct such absurd bugs.
