One of the long-standing issues plaguing the League of Legends community worldwide is that the game has become increasingly “toxic”. Recently, many have suggested implementing a reporting feature and chat ban right from the champion selection phase in ranked matches (which Riot Games has heard and is trying to implement). However, many believe that League of Legends has become more “toxic” primarily because Riot Games has failed to rigorously control and punish players with negative behaviors.
Today, a Spanish streamer named ElmiilloR used Riot Games’ own League of Legends account to ruin games without facing any consequences:
In his latest stream, this guy allowed opponents to take him down without securing any kills with Graves, even selling all his items while playing Camille and running around the map aimlessly. According to viewers’ investigations, this is not the streamer’s personal account, but rather an account provided by Riot Games for him to participate in a grassroots tournament on the Western server. Therefore, many believe that Riot Games is greatly at fault for not closely monitoring the account they provided to this streamer. After this stream, many viewers filed reports, but Riot Games has yet to take any timely action.
Many viewers even looked back at past streams to find that this is not the first time this guy has exhibited negative behavior in-game:

Since this is not the first time he has violated the rules and been punished, many viewers believe that if Riot Games does not impose a heavier punishment such as a streaming ban (for 1 month, 2 months, or permanently), it will be very difficult to stop this streamer from spreading toxicity within the League of Legends community.
