Godfire was first introduced at the end of August 2019, and this system was heavily criticized by the community for its excessive monetization. Subsequently, Riot Games retracted the initial version and adjusted it into two packages: “VIP” and regular, as we see now. Of course, there were still dissatisfied players, but at least the stat counters in the “VIP” package were somewhat acceptable.

However, Riot Games does not want only paying players to feel satisfied with the Godfire system. The current stats in the regular package are proving to be quite poor, and they are looking for ways to upgrade them to match the amount of Blue Essence spent. In the latest revelations from KenAdamsNSA – the head of the League of Legends production department – they have made adjustments regarding the Godfire system, both in pricing and stats.

KenAdamsNSA – Head of the League of Legends production department: “I will soon talk about the Godfire that will be released and I’m curious to know which you prefer: 2 Unique packages and 1 regular package for 475 RP or 3 Unique packages for 600 RP.”
There are a few things in the regular Godfire package that I really want to share with everyone:
Number of successful monster steals.
Number of times achieving the Divine title.
Number of times ending the enemy’s killing spree.”

The changes to the Godfire system are indeed much better than the current version. An average player can only play well with about 20-30 champions, and those who are truly passionate and want to grind Godfire for them can be counted on one hand. Therefore, selling only single or entire Godfire tickets for all champions is not reasonable. Instead, selling packages of 2-3 champions, as will happen soon, is much better.

Additionally, the new stats in the counter system introduced by KenAdamsNSA seem to be much more noteworthy than the current stats. The ability to steal Dragon or Baron is clearly more worthy of attention than just taking those objectives normally, and the number of times achieving the Divine title is certainly more significant than simply defeating opponents.

Riot Games’ style is to create a normal product and then gradually upgrade it, and the changes in graphics and stats are things that gamers can immediately feel, so the new updates of Godfire are definitely worth looking forward to.
