Just Because He Didn’t Bind Skills to QWER, a League of Legends Player Was Called an ‘Alien’ by the Community

While it was thought that all League of Legends players use QWER for skill keys, there are still many 'freaks' with unconventional setups.

The shortcut keys for using skills are something that every League of Legends player uses, and in the default settings, the 4 skills are respectively Q – W – E – R. It’s even become so standardized that when mentioning Lee Sin’s Q or Yasuo’s W, people immediately recall what those skills are without needing detailed descriptions.

While there may be debate about whether Flash should be on D or F, discussions about how skill keys are set up are very rare; simply put, the 4 keys QWER are adjacent on the keyboard, they are the default settings, and very few people change this. Therefore, when a guy revealed that his key setup didn’t use QWER but instead WASD, he was trolled by the community as an “alien” or “dark sorcerer.”

While everyone argues about whether Flash should be on D or F, my girlfriend plays League of Legends with WASD

While playing ARAM with my girlfriend, we talked about whether Flash should be on D or F; she explained to me that she plays with the 4 WASD keys. I was really quite shocked because I thought everyone played with QWER and only changed the keys for items or equipment.

In the end, I asked her how she set up her hotkeys, and this is how my girlfriend plays:

Q is the shortcut for R. W remains the same. A is the shortcut for Q, and D is used to activate skill E. She has Flash on E, and F is the second summoner spell. In short, Flash should be on E because your girlfriend is always right.

Perhaps the WASD key setup is more familiar to FPS gamers than MOBA gamers

This is an act against the divine.

Honestly, your girlfriend should leave Earth and not come back.

Alright kids, this is a sign of ILHBD (translated as League of Legends Hotkey Disorder Syndrome)

Based on what the guy described, his girlfriend is still in stage 1. I will contact a doctor immediately and describe her condition. Once social distancing is over, you should take her for treatment right away.

In the meantime, make sure your girlfriend doesn’t change her hotkeys ever again. Do it now before it’s too late; I have a friend who fell into a similar situation and by the time he realized what he had done, it was too late. YOU CAN STILL SAVE HER.

You mean your ex-girlfriend?

No, no, I can’t accept this. My mortal will cannot compare with the power this woman possesses. She has broken every rule of thermodynamics, completely disregarding everything Einstein wrote and laughs in the face of continuity in spacetime. What is this dark magic? What is she? A deity? Something else?

While most of the community jokes or is amazed by this girl’s hotkey arrangement, some people actually support her and share their own equally bizarre setups.

I play with keys O-P-U-+, Flash is on L, and Smite is on I. I use a left-handed mouse.

I play with an Xbox controller, lmao.

I use keys 1-2-3-4, while E and R are for summoner spells because I often play RPGs.

I also use WASD but the difference is Q=A/W=W/E=D/R=S.

It turns out there are still players who do not use QWER

Indeed, there are many freaks in the world, and even just setting up hotkeys can have numerous unique styles, some of which are so bizarre that we’ve never even thought of them. What about you? Do you have any special hotkey setups? Please share in the comments section.
