In the past few weeks, hyper-roll compositions have been wreaking havoc in the meta of Teamfight Tactics, leading to game speeds that are astonishingly fast. The game suddenly turned into a true “luck” competition where, by round 3-1, everyone rolled all their money to try to get Xayah, Poppy, Twisted Fate, or Ziggs… to 3 stars.

And with the team managing Teamfight Tactics, they do not want this to happen at all because the game always needs to maintain diversity, and they need to preserve the essence of playing and adapting to what the shop offers. Therefore, in the previous patch, the Candyland composition, the “pump” Sona was taken down, and just a few days later, Ziggs was nerfed, and in the upcoming patch 10.11, Xayah and her friends are also victims.

Information about patch 10.11 was announced by Riot Mortdog, the lead designer of “auto chess”:
System Changes
Added New Galaxy – Little Little Legends

Your Little Legend will be smaller, run faster but only has 85 starting health.
Changes to Traits – Classes

Chrono
The time between the attack speed boosts for this trait has changed from 8/4/2s to 8/3/1.5s.
Infiltrator
Infiltrator units will now jump immediately at the start of the combat phase instead of having a slight delay as they do now.
Champion Changes
1-Cost Champions

Caitlyn: Skill damage at 3 stars decreased from 3000 to 2250.
Graves: Blind duration of the skill decreased from 3/4/5s to 2/3/5s.
Jarvan IV: Additional attack speed from the skill changed from 50/75/100% to 65/75/85%.
Xayah: Maximum energy increased from 50 to 70.
All three key champions of the Shredder or Hyper-roll Xayah compositions are significantly nerfed in the upcoming patch, especially Jarvan IV. The increase in attack speed at 1 star is essentially meaningless because that is during the early rounds where damage is low, so an additional 15% attack speed doesn’t matter much. Meanwhile, the nerf at 3 stars is extremely heavy because it significantly boosts the team’s damage, especially for Xayah and Caitlyn at 3 stars.

Xayah also has increased energy required for her ability, leading to a slight decrease in her continuous attack speed. These updates are likely to reduce the power of the Hyper-roll Xayah composition by 15-20% and make it difficult for this team-comp to compete effectively against S-tier compositions towards the end of the game like Brawlers – Cannoneers, Rebellion, and Cybernetics…
2-Cost Champions

Blitzcrank: Skill damage decreased from 250/400/900 to 200/350/850.
Lucian: Skill damage at 3 stars increased from 325 to 375.
3-Cost Champions

Master Yi: Base attack speed increased from 0.8 to 0.85.
4-Cost Champions

Cho’Gath: Starting energy increased from 50 to 75.
Kayle: Maximum energy increased from 60 to 70.
These two updates targeting Cho’Gath and Kayle will also significantly impact the upcoming metagame. With an additional 25 energy, Cho’Gath can cast his ability much sooner, providing a more stable amount of damage and crowd control for the Brawler composition, a direct buff for Brawlers – Cannoneers and Brawlers – Void compositions. Meanwhile, Kayle’s decreased energy usage means a slower time to reach her Ascended state, making it so she no longer wipes out the entire enemy team too early.
Items

Green Bow: Damage reduction ability decreased from 90% to 75%.
This change is also a direct nerf to the Hyper-roll Xayah composition because this is an essential item for this champion. Keep in mind that the Shredder composition uses fast attack speed and the armor penetration from Green Bow to take down the opponent’s tank line, and the reduction in armor from this item to only 75% will give opponents more time to cast spells and control your team’s carry.

In summary, the meta of Teamfight Tactics 10.11 is likely to revert to the meta before patch 10.9, focusing more on the late game; hyper-roll will still appear but will depend heavily on items and acquiring many key champions.
