Historically, weekends have always been the golden time for online games as the player count increases due to time off. League of Legends is no exception, and Garena often launches new events during the weekends, which has become quite familiar to gamers. When you have the time to relax and play your favorite game, spending a little money on events is hardly a big deal.

However, yesterday, specifically on Saturday night, May 30th, gamers couldn’t even log into League of Legends due to Garena’s login error. With international fiber optic cables experiencing continuous issues over the past few days, players couldn’t engage with any other games besides League of Legends and those released in Vietnam. But when even League of Legends is unplayable, gamers’ Saturday night is completely wasted.

What’s even more concerning is that it’s not just Vietnam; all Garena servers are experiencing this issue. According to reports from gamers on the Southeast Asia server, they didn’t receive any notifications at all. This has left players extremely frustrated, as it feels like a slap in the face from Garena to its customers.

Garena Southeast Asia server has been down for over 2 hours without any warnings
Edit: It has been down for over 4 hours with no warnings at all, except for a hasty post on Facebook (with no explanations in the Garena client). We just want to play League of Legends like players on Riot’s official servers, not as second-class gamers with slow version updates and almost no customer support. The server has been down since 7 PM in Singapore.
Right, and for some reason, the new patch (patch 10.11) will be delayed until next week.
This is really ridiculous and shameful.
By the way, there’s still no news in the Garena app either.
Should we take a moment to mourn the incompetence of Garena since there’s no news in the client, unless people have to visit their homepage to read? Don’t let me start complaining about their random game mechanics in those mobile games.
I woke up at 5 PM wanting to play some League of Legends and noticed that the entire Garena server was down without any announcement.
Wow, it has been down for over 5 hours already.
Honestly, I don’t even know, it’s currently 8:42 PM where I am.

Riot, please take League of Legends away from Garena. They are the worst publisher you can have for this game.
Exactly, Garena has ruined a bunch of games like Onmyoji for example.
No warnings, no explanations. Can someone at Garena please fix the server for me?
Is it still down?
I wonder why they didn’t ask us to log out of Garena while they are performing maintenance.
I tried not to complain for the past 5 hours, but I’m really disappointed.

Fortunately, this morning, the League of Legends server finally returned to normal operation; however, we are still on patch 10.10 while other servers have already implemented patch 10.11. Anyway, the game is running again, but I wonder how high the gamers’ frustration would have been if Garena had crashed for the entire weekend.
