Not long ago, Riot Games announced the Streamarathon skin with a series of major and minor regional tournaments such as the China-Korea War, PCSxVCS… to compensate for the cancellation of MSI 2020. Of course, the European region also did not miss out on this event and had its own friendly tournament. However, instead of teams from the LEC competing, they chose players from 5 countries: Poland, Italy, France, Germany, and Spain, along with a team of Riot Games casters to enhance the spirit of “comedy”.

In fact, the Polish team featuring Jankos, the jungler for G2 Esports, was even considered a championship contender for the tournament. However, this “foreign son” showcased his top-tier comedic skills with a game that was a complete disaster, even facing off against casters whose ranks were merely Platinum or Diamond.

Naturally, the matches in the EU Face-off were primarily for fun, and no one took the results too seriously, simply because no LEC teams participated. However, Jankos’s excessive feeding allowed people to troll him, especially recalling his defeat at the 2019 World Championship, with the main LEC host even joking that “he lost to a jungler ranked Platinum, so it’s not surprising that Tian had an easy time against him”.

Jankos: “I think I’m feeding to raise funds for charity.”
Caster Ender: “No, you’re just feeding for me.”
Jankos: “You just ended my career. GG.”
G2 Esports posts a picture of caster Ender defeating Jankos: “You hate to see this.”
Player: “So you’re confirming G2 Ender then?”
Another player: “Is Jankos about to get kicked?”
After the past weekend, the tournaments under Riot Games’ Streamarathon event have all concluded successfully, and the deserving teams have claimed their championships. For the competitions in Asia, things seemed to be more intense as the participants were all strong teams from the region. Meanwhile, in the West, it was all mix teams (composed of members from various teams) so the comedic factor was higher. That’s why Jankos had such an outrageous feeding performance.

After the mid-season tournaments, we will have a long break, usually over 2 weeks, before the LCK, LPL, LEC, VCS… summer split returns. Hopefully, that will be enough time for players to prepare mentally, and teams to assemble the best forces for the race towards the 2020 World Championship. As for Jankos, let’s hope that the “foreign son” doesn’t let a small defeat hold back his performance.
