As announced in mid-May, Riot will launch the alpha test version in the two countries of the Philippines (June 6-27) and Brazil (June 5-26).

At 6 PM (local time) on June 6, 2020, the Alpha Test version of LoL: Wild Rift will be launched for the Philippines region. This means around 7 PM according to Hanoi time.

From June 5 to June 7, the servers will only be open for LoL Mobile players from 6 PM to 10 PM to assess the initial stability of the server. Player invitations will be sent out starting June 5, a few hours before the opening for gamers to prepare.

Since the game is only open in the Philippines and Brazil, Vietnamese players will find it quite difficult to participate in this phase. Players need to register in advance and be randomly selected; if playing, you need to change your IP.

This test is limited in the number of players and servers. Those who registered on Google Play need to check their email regularly. After receiving the invitation, you need to log in with the same Google account you registered with.

Starting Champion Count

Riot has officially announced 40 starting champions for LoL: Wild Rift: Ahri, Master Yi, Lux, Annie, Garen, Fiora, Vi, Blitzcrank, Camille, Jhin, Ezreal, Janna, Soraka, Nami, Nasus, Braum, Miss Fortune, Graves, Jinx, Alistar, Olaf, Gragas, Jax, Malphite, Shyvana, Aurelion Sol, Orianna, Fizz, Ashe, Tryndamere, Twisted Fate, Vayne, Xin Zhao, Zed, Yasuo, and Ziggs.

According to the development team, there will be 36 champions available in this Alpha Test version. Diana, Dr. Mundo, Teemo, and Varus will be added later to test compatibility for mobile gameplay.

Gameplay

– LoL: Wild Rift still warns last hits for gamers when the health of minions turns white, allowing players to perform their last hits, but the latest clip about the Alpha Test version of LoL: Wild Rift still shows the amount of gold received even without last hitting.

– LoL: Wild Rift cannot “shop on the go”. Anyone who has played LoL will know that players must return to the Nexus to buy items, as they cannot purchase directly on the lane like in Arena of Valor. LoL: Wild Rift will be the same, gamers must decide whether to return to buy items or continue pushing the lane. Any wrong decisions will come with a hefty price. Each time you return, gamers will lose a significant amount of gold and experience from minions, or even put teammates in a disadvantageous combat situation.

– LoL: Wild Rift will maintain the elemental dragon system similar to LoL, with each dragon having the ability to enhance different attributes. Therefore, competing for dragons in LoL: Wild Rift will be quite “intense”.

– In LoL: Wild Rift, the warding mechanism will still be retained.
