Meta Counter Composition
Except for the Brawler – Void composition, most of the top meta playstyles in Teamfight Tactics right now utilize physical damage or champions that continuously auto-attack as the main focus. Champions like Jinx, Kayle, Jhin, and Irelia are fiercely contested, proving this point. Therefore, it is natural that compositions featuring Vanguard with heavy armor become stronger.

The composition that primarily uses Vanguard is almost exclusively Candyland. Even though this composition has been nerfed significantly, it is practically your only choice if you want to survive in the mid-game. Moreover, the nerf to the Green Bow, reducing armor reduction from 90% to 75%, makes this composition much more viable and less heavily countered.
The Emergence of the New Galaxy
With the official appearance of the Small Beast Galaxy in patch 10.11, hyper-roll compositions will return very strongly since you need a strong team early on to maintain health, rather than dying too early with just 85 starting health. Therefore, Candyland’s resurgence is entirely understandable; this composition is even most compatible with this Galaxy as its main units are all 1-cost champions.

Remember that the strength of Candyland comes from the inherent traits and systems of the champions, not from items. You still need certain items for your main carry, but you can completely adjust based on what you have. Powerful combos like Vanguard, Sorcerer, and Celestial are already strong on their own, and items merely supplement that strength.
Building a Composition Suitable for the New Meta
With the nerf to the Blessing of the Celestial, the old playstyle of Sona “the pump” is no longer suitable, so you need to change your itemization and composition to adapt to these updates. First, you won’t use Sona and the Blessing of the Celestial anymore. Instead, Twisted Fate will be your main carry, and he needs to be fully equipped. The Spear of Shojin and any AP item are the most suitable for this Card Master.

As for the composition, if you want to win in the late game, our advice is not to get too caught up in rolling for 3 stars. Yes, you need Poppy and Twisted Fate at 3 stars, but don’t get greedy by gilding other champions; you will gradually fall behind towards the end and lose a game you could have won. Our advice is that when you reach level 8, add Wukong and Xerath, strong units for the late game to ensure the power of your composition.
