Most MOBA games, including League of Legends, currently have a ranking system to evaluate players as well as a tool for publishers to minimize skill disparities in a match. Thus, the concept of Smurfing emerged to refer to high-skilled players who drop to lower ranks to “dominate newbies” because finding matches at higher ranks takes an extremely long time.

If it only serves the purpose of entertainment and does not affect anyone, then it’s not a big deal; however, when that smurfing action leads to a player getting banned for reasons that are not their fault, everything changes. Recently, TF Blade became the center of criticism when he caused a Gold rank player to be banned for 14 days, just because they lost their lane against him, the top 1 Challenger in North America.

It’s too bad you couldn’t lane better; you probably could have beaten TF Blade if you tried, but of course, that’s not true. It’s really unfortunate, and I hope you will get unbanned.
I’m not disappointed about being banned for 14 days; it just makes playing League of Legends more inconvenient for me.
Oh my God, you really got banned for 14 days just because you played poorly against the top 1 Challenger in Gold rank. It’s hard to believe that Riot said you played poorly in many matches instead of banning TF Blade, who brings them money. Damn Riot.

I didn’t know people could get banned for playing poorly; I thought it was a joke. I remember once facing a top Challenger Riven player in Silver rank, and I was sure it was smurfing because no Silver rank player could dive towers and cancel animations perfectly like that. Luckily, I didn’t get banned, but your case reminds me of that time I was bullied. I hope Riot will lift the ban, but it’s hard since streamers make money for them.
What the hell, Riot?
TF Blade is the one who should be banned.

The phenomenon of smurfing and “dominating newbies” by high-skilled players and streamers seems to be increasingly common; they can use beautiful terms like “Challenger climb challenges,” but it doesn’t change the essence of the matter. When encountering players like this, it is almost guaranteed that the match will become extremely one-sided, as seen in the matches above, you can see TF Blade getting nearly 20 kills, dealing excessive damage, and farming too much, simply obliterating your team.

Of course, in gaming, there are wins and losses; if you happen to encounter a Smurf, you just have to shrug it off. However, it’s simply unreasonable that just because you are Gold rank and couldn’t win against the top 1 Challenger player, you get banned.
