Faker Faces “Unfortunate Misfortune” Due to a “Bizarre” Reason
In the history of League of Legends, if we were to search for a name that has achieved numerous historical milestones as well as broken and reset new records, Faker would be the first name mentioned. However, Faker’s milestones are still being pursued by younger generations. The issue is that one of them is causing trouble for the “Demon King”—and that is player Xiaohu.

Specifically, recently, Xiaohu reached the milestone of 6000 assists in his career. This is an impressive number for a Mid Lane player. Of course, Faker surpassed this milestone a long time ago. However, trouble arose when fans discovered that Riot’s official League of Legends account did not post any article to congratulate Xiaohu on this milestone.

Notably, players who achieved lower milestones than Xiaohu, or LPL superstars, have been congratulated by Riot. For example, Faker was celebrated when he reached only 5000 assists, and Chovy received recognition for his 1000 kills in the LCK. In the LPL, Meiko was also featured in a congratulatory post when he hit the 7000 assists milestone in his career.
Interestingly, beneath this fan’s post, some comments subtly assert that since Faker is Riot’s “golden child,” he will always receive attention. Moreover, content about Faker guarantees stable to high engagement—something not many players can achieve.

Is Riot “Favoring” Faker?
Given what he has contributed to Esports and to League of Legends as well as Riot, it is understandable that this publisher focuses content on Faker more. However, posts like this don’t take much time to create. And every player deserves recognition for the efforts they have put in.

Xiaohu is a legend of the LPL. Therefore, Riot “neglecting” him is understandably frustrating.
