League of Legends has now been around for over 10 years, and many players have been attached to this game for a long time. The number of viewers for tournaments and the growth of League of Legends is immense, which is hard to deny; however, the actual experience of playing the game is quite a different story.

Just a few hours ago, an opinion suggesting that League of Legends is becoming a game that is fun to watch but not to play received a lot of agreement from the community. Most players believe that ranked play does not truly allow them to enjoy the beauty of League of Legends; in fact, some even expressed the bitter truth that – “Ranked play is the fastest way to ruin your life.”

I feel like League of Legends is a game that sounds better to play than actually playing it.
Every time I watch tournament matches or cool clips about League of Legends, I think, “Wow, these look fun; I have to try them in-game!” And then when I play ranked, it feels like a terrible performance, and I end up not playing for a few days and repeat that process. Is anyone else thinking the same?

Ranked play is indeed a way to ruin your life.
I just dropped from Gold I at 35 points to Gold III at 0 points in just one day. I told myself I would work hard to reach Platinum before July, but the truth is, after that bad day, I never turned my computer back on. I realized I was losing sleep over it and felt a bit dead inside. Solo queue really ruins your life.
At some point, the best thing you can do is enjoy that terrible performance.
Or just stop playing altogether.

I have finally uninstalled League of Legends, but once a Summoner, always a Summoner (back in the early days, League of Legends players were called Summoners).
Indeed, I often find myself in an extremely bad state, uninstalling League of Legends, fighting against the urge to play for a few weeks, and then just uninstalling it again. Ultimately, the next year, I reinstall it.
Most people get annoyed by their teammates; I get frustrated because I play so poorly. Everything really falls apart when you realize how bad you are after playing for over a year. Winning a match doesn’t make you feel any better.

It’s not surprising that people think that professional League of Legends and solo queue are two entirely different things, despite being the same game. When you play League of Legends with a team of skilled players, you can progress incredibly quickly; when the whole team studies the game together and plays together, the bond becomes even stronger. At that point, the League of Legends they play is a true team game.

Meanwhile, in solo queue, it feels like you’re playing a completely different game; everyone is playing their own game, sometimes not even caring about their teammates. Thus, solo queue becomes more of a psychological game rather than a skill competition, with the loser being the one who is more impatient and makes more mistakes. And of course, when you lose, a player’s mentality becomes extremely poor.

It’s not surprising that gamers believe that solo queue is the fastest way to destroy the enjoyment of playing League of Legends. This is not necessarily the fault of League of Legends, of the publisher Riot Games, or the players; perhaps it has just become the nature of solo queue.
