In the recent version 10.12, Teamfight Tactics players truly no longer have to envy the ranking system of League of Legends anymore as they now have their own rewards with stunning Glorious Beasts. Riot Games also mentioned that this is a reward for players who achieve Gold rank or higher in seasons 1 and 2, and at the end of this season 3, a Glorious Beast will also be awarded to players provided they reach Gold rank in both halves of the season.
However, many people have questioned what would happen if they were too “unlucky” and could not climb to that rank in the first half, but exceeded Gold rank in the second half? Would they not receive any rewards at all? Such questions and feedback have been continuously sent to Riot Games, prompting the Teamfight Tactics team to change the conditions for receiving ranked rewards.
And just a few hours ago, Riot Games officially announced that they do not want to leave anyone behind as players dedicate their time to competing in ranked mode, so as long as you reach Gold rank (in any half of the season), you are eligible for a Glorious Beast. If you achieve Gold rank in both halves of the season, you will receive additional rewards from Riot Games.

We’ve identified that the current reward system for Glorious Beasts requires you to have Gold rank in both halves of the season to receive it. Anyone who does not reach this threshold in the first half will not be able to receive rewards, regardless of how well they perform in the second half of season 3. We don’t want anyone who plays well to miss out on rewards, so we are making some changes.
Basically, there will be two variants of the same Glorious Beast for season 3: One for achieving Gold rank or higher in one half of the season, and the other for reaching that rank in both halves. Rewards will be sent to players after season 3 ends (about 1-2 patches). You still have the chance to receive those rewards, so jump into ranked matches now!
Perhaps Teamfight Tactics players can rest assured to climb ranks since now everyone will receive rewards, as long as you reach the required rank of Gold.
