Until now, Teamfight Tactics has had a ranking system that has frustrated many players during the rounds where health points drop to 0. Because regardless of how much health you have left, as long as you lose first, you will be pushed down to a lower position in the top 8. Because of this, sometimes just being a few seconds slower can cause you to drop from top 4 to top 5 or 6 and lose points quite regrettably.
Today, Riot Games introduced a new health deduction system that helps players no longer be unluckily out of the top:
Specifically, with this new health deduction method, in the round where you lose, the system will deduct exactly the amount of health that your opponent caused you, even if it results in negative health. Those who lose in the same round will not have to “run around” to stall time anymore, as the system will rank players accurately based on their health points. For example, -15 health will be lower than -6 health, -6 health will be lower than -4 health,…
Riot Mortdog also shared that in the case where two players have the same negative health (for instance -7 and -7), the player who had more health before the deduction will be ranked higher.

Many players are relieved because they no longer have to use “pay to win” maps, as some Teamfight Tactics maps allow players’ beasts to run into corners far away from their opponents, stalling time to survive as long as possible in that round.
