VCS has always been famous for its continuous fighting style, where clashes can occur anywhere on the map and at any moment during a match. The downside of this entertaining playstyle is that VCS players find it very difficult to maintain a high KDA, a personal statistic, when they are constantly forced to fight and can die at any moment. Therefore, in personal statistics, VCS players struggle to compete with other regions.

However, everything changed in the summer split when the latest statistics from LoLEsportsStats (the official statistics page of LoLEsports – under Riot Games) revealed that Artemis from Cerberus made it into the top 10 players with the highest KDA in the world so far in the 2020 summer split. His stats are on par with Zven, the marksman who is considered the best in North America.

Most of the players with these staggering KDA numbers are part of the undefeated teams in the summer tournament. For instance, the duo Vulcan and Zven from Cloud 9 are boasting an overwhelming 6-0 record in the LCS North America. J Team with two representatives, Hana and Nestea, similarly dominates the PCS tournament in Southeast Asia with 5 consecutive wins. Even Ellim from T1 is maintaining a 100% win rate with 4 straight victories in the LCK.

The story is similar for Artemis, as Cerberus has achieved 3 convincing wins with a score of 2-0. Moreover, the opponents that this “dog god” team faced are formidable names like Team Secret, Team Flash, and EVOS Esports, affirming this team’s ambition for the championship.

As for Artemis, he is often remembered as the “supporting actor” to Slayder in SGD or later in Team Flash. However, after moving to Cerberus, he has proven his caliber and gradually stepped out of the large shadow of his former teammate. Perhaps the one truly deserving of the title “super marksman” in VCS right now is none other than Artemis.
