In just half a year, Top Esports has risen from a strong team to one of the best in the world, finishing second in the LPL Spring 2020 and winning the recent China-Korea Clash. A remarkable highlight of this glorious period for TES is that they have defeated the last two world champions, Invictus Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix, earning them recognition as the strongest team in the world from both experts and fans alike.

Moving into the LPL Summer 2020, not much has changed as Top Esports sits comfortably at the top of the standings with 6 consecutive wins, displaying absolute dominance over their opponents. Many are questioning whether anyone in the LPL can stop Top Esports, and surprisingly, the name that people trust the most is SofM’s Suning. The reason is SofM’s complete outperformance against Karsa in a recent scrim between Suning and Top Esports.

We can see that the mid-jungle duo of Suning completely dominated their counterparts from Top Esports, which was the biggest reason for their victory. Both Karsa and Knight from Top Esports were extremely “fed” and lost control of the mid-lane entirely, opening up too many opportunities for SofM to secure objectives. Even when the game ended, SofM still had the Eye of the Herald on him.

Right after this result became widely known on social media, most LPL fans admired SofM’s excellence in being able to torment a veteran player like Karsa. However, they also reminded that this was just a scrim, and the final results still depend on the official matches.

“The old man” is now sweating due to that illness (The old man is Karsa’s nickname because he is the oldest in the Top Esports team).
Could it be that TES might lose their championship this summer?
SofM used to be a very bloodthirsty player.

Why do I keep thinking of TSM?
Everyone knows that scrims are just scrims; the results of official matches are what truly matter.
TSM: If we compare scrim results, we would have been world champions three times (implying that scrim results are secondary).

This evening, SofM’s Suning will face LGD Gaming, a team that is currently on a high with 4 wins and only 1 loss. The result of this match will significantly impact Suning’s position on the leaderboard. Hopefully, SofM and his teammates can leverage their scrim results to achieve an important victory in the upcoming match.
