Having a Marksman Who Can Deal Damage

However, the Marksman position is a completely different story, and it is not uncommon for them to use Mages to fill the skill gap for the player. However, in this summer tournament, GAM Esports made a significant leap when the “national AD carry” EasyLove played in the main roster, and this team no longer has to rely on Mages or special strategies. GAM Esports can now compete on equal footing with any opponent, even against “Teddy Quang Tri” – Divkid from EVOS. Numbers don’t lie, and EasyLove owning over 30% of GAM’s damage shows that he is performing exceptionally well in his new colors.
Finally, after many years, GAM Esports has found a true Marksman, possessing the ability to position himself and carry the team like in NoWay’s time. With the solo lanes and jungle of GAM Esports remaining strong, the bot lane is significantly stronger than before, making GAM Esports’ improvement quite understandable.
Dia1 Does Not Follow TheShy’s Path
Although differing greatly in playstyle and position, Dia1 and TheShy share the similarity of enjoying playing Marksmen in the solo lane during the spring season. By summer, TheShy faced a lot of criticism for being stubborn with his Marksman picks, but Dia1 stands out by switching to high-strategic champions like Twisted Fate, Sylas, or Jayce.
Therefore, metrics like gold share or damage in the team for Dia1 are no longer as high as before. Perhaps with GAM having a true Marksman, Dia1 no longer needs to bear the burden of carrying the team, so his lower personal stats are actually a good sign for him. He no longer needs to be overly aggressive and “devour” opponents like before; Dia1 now possesses a very annoying playstyle in the mid lane where he can suffocate any opponent.
So Which GAM Is Stronger?
It is still too early to conclude this, but one thing we can assert is that GAM Esports of the summer is more well-rounded compared to their spring version. In terms of personnel, they lost Zeros and Palette, but in return, EasyLove and Slay are increasingly in sync and shining in the bot lane, becoming a true spearhead for this team.
If GAM Esports in summer wants to prove that they are stronger than in spring, their achievement must be victory. This may be too far-fetched, but with the upgraded strength and the old players maintaining stability, the possibility of GAM Esports reaching for the VCS summer 2020 championship is entirely feasible.
