Recently, a gamer boasting of achieving 4 consecutive Mega Kills sparked a fierce debate within the Arena of Valor community. This player had an impressive KDA of 18/1/8 with the hero Wisp and also claimed MVP of the match. However, the claim of 4 Mega Kills while only securing 18 kills raised eyebrows.

Many believe that this gamer is “firing off fireworks” because, simply put, Mega Kills require killing 5 enemies in a row, so to achieve 4 Mega Kills, you would need at least 20 kills. So what’s the real story?

A Mega Kill in Arena of Valor is defined as eliminating the entire opposing team (killing all 5 enemy heroes consecutively within 5 seconds).
However, with the continuous respawn mechanics after being eliminated or when the opponents use Revive to defend, subsequent eliminations still count. Therefore, to achieve 4 consecutive Mega Kills, a gamer only needs a minimum of 8 kills.

Thus, the gamer is not wrong; it’s just that the community misunderstood his point. Mega Kills are indeed a rare occurrence, and not everyone can achieve this highest kill streak. Given that such a situation has never been encountered before, it’s understandable why the community remains skeptical.
