During the match between LNG Esports and Invictus Gaming in the LPL Summer 2020 group stage, a very embarrassing incident occurred when, for unknown reasons, IG’s coach – Chris, barged into LNG’s waiting room and made mocking comments towards the opponent.
LNG’s jungle player Xx then rushed out and was ready to confront the coach, and if it weren’t for the intervention of other members, a fight would surely have broken out right in the LPL venue.

Riot Games China considers this a particularly serious incident and has launched an investigation, revealing the deeper cause of the event. Contrary to what transpired in LNG’s waiting room, the overall picture showed that the one who bears the greatest responsibility is Xx, who engaged in toxic behavior and insulted IG’s marksman Puff.
Specifically, in a previous ranked match, Xx was teamed up with JackeyLove while Puff was on the opposing team. In that match, Xx typed in the chat to mock Puff saying, “A copycat can’t compare to a real ADC,” implying that Puff could not fill the role left by JackeyLove at IG.

Moreover, he also posted a toxic message on Weibo after the loss against IG: “F**k you, let’s see what you can do to me?” and tagged coach Chris. The post was later deleted and replaced with a new caption: “Even if I lose, I won’t accept it.”
Regarding coach Chris, he barged into LNG’s waiting room and yelled at Xx: “Hello, premium jungle!” to mock Xx’s terrible performance that led to LNG’s poor showing.
Subsequently, Xx reported this incident to Riot China, and soon after, his girlfriend (or wife) joined in, voicing her support for Xx with the statement: “I like his personality right now, not backing down from negative disruptive behaviors.”
IG’s owner, Wang Zuting, quickly showcased his sharp tongue by posting a sarcastic message: “Hey, organizers, I want to report someone for insulting me. – How did he insult you? – He mocked my words to talk to someone else.” (Implying that Xx was the one who insulted Puff before but felt offended when mocked back).

Afterwards, the verbal war between IG and Xx escalated into a noisy debate, full of sarcasm and insults, akin to a “market meeting,” leaving LPL fans feeling utterly embarrassed by this player’s behavior and dissatisfied with Chris’s retaliation.
Quickly, LNG enforced internal discipline by cutting Xx’s salary for 2 months due to his unprofessional behavior, while Riot China also announced penalties for both Chris and Xx. Coach IG was fined 10,000 yuan, while Xx faced a fine of 50,000 yuan.
