The insider continues to “add fuel to the fire” in the T1 – Gumayusi drama, inadvertently contradicting the coaching staff’s statements.
In recent days, T1 fans and the League of Legends community have been receiving daily updates surrounding the T1 – Gumayusi – Smash drama. Initially, many viewers were still defending the T1 management and Smash regarding the roster rotation. However, the latest developments have led many to criticize T1.
Recently, the former coach of Smash from the Challengers team confirmed: Smash was indeed promoted to the main team to compete for the starting position of Gumayusi.

Additionally, the former coach of the T1 Challengers team – GBM mentioned that the unexpected promotion of Smash has left the T1 Challengers team without an ADC. Current player Guti has been pushed from Mid Lane to fill this role.
However, GBM’s statement has inadvertently turned the coaching staff of the entire T1 team into… a “laughing stock”. After receiving complaints from fans about the sudden substitutions, head coach Kkoma of the main team asserted that they were “rotating the roster to gather data”. Yet, all subsequent actions, including not allowing Gumayusi to scrim or having this ADC benched for all remaining LCK Cup matches, along with GBM’s recent revelations, contradict T1’s statements.

Not only T1 fans but also the League of Legends community are feeling frustrated
By this point, even regular viewers who are not T1 fans find it hard to understand the actions of T1’s management. Not to mention, asserting that Smash was promoted to compete with Gumayusi, while the same team released clips showing Smash ready to “take on” even Faker. The inconsistency throughout the situation surrounding the two players only fuels the outrage towards T1.

Moreover, it is almost certain that T1’s performance in the upcoming Regular Seasons will be affected if the current situation continues. At that point, the discontent may rise even further, ultimately leaving only the players and T1 fans as the “victims” of this saga.
